The Snowy River SRH recall published on 10 September 2026 covers 511 Snowy River Caravan Hybrid units from the 2025–2026 year range. The federal notice says a manufacturing issue may have left a weld on the suspension arms without sufficient strength. It may crack when the caravan is driven over rough, uneven or unsealed roads, potentially causing loss of control.
The affected variants are SRH13, SRH14, SRH15, SRH15F, SRH16 and SRH16F. Owners are to be contacted to arrange an inspection and repair with their nearest dealer or the Regent RV team, free of charge. The regulator says Regent planned to start the remedy on 14 September 2026 and aims to complete the rectification within eight weeks from that date.
This is campaign SR-Xplore Suspension, recall number REC-006719. It does not identify every Snowy River caravan or every caravan fitted with a suspension system bearing a similar name. The official VIN list is the precise scope record.

The table separates the published facts from anything that might be inferred from them. In particular, the year range is not a production-date range, and 511 is the number of affected units stated by the regulator. The notice does not publish a build-date cut-off.
How to check whether an SRH hybrid is affected
Use the caravan’s full vehicle identification number (VIN) rather than relying on model name or purchase date alone.
- Record the VIN exactly. Check the vehicle plate and your registration or purchase documents. Our guide to trailer compliance plates under VSB1 explains the identification fields owners should expect to see.
- Open the VIN attachment on REC-006719. The recall page links to an official CSV titled “REC-006719-VIN-List-1.csv”. Search for the complete VIN, including every zero and letter.
- Contact Regent if the VIN is listed or the result is unclear. Quote both REC-006719 and the campaign name, SR-Xplore Suspension.
- Ask for the pending-use instruction in writing. The public notice directs owners to the Regent RV team for information on using the caravan safely until the work is carried out. It does not publish one universal instruction for all affected owners.
- Book the inspection and repair. The notice says affected owners will be contacted, but the Department also tells vehicle owners to act when they see or receive a notice concerning their vehicle.
- Keep the completion record. Retain the dealer invoice or campaign record even when the balance is zero. It can show a future buyer or service agent that the recall action was completed.
The VIN attachment makes the affected scope vehicle-specific, while the model and year range are broader identifiers. Our separate Australian vehicle recall check guide explains why a VIN match is more useful than a broad model search.
What the suspension notice does and does not establish
The official defect statement is narrow. It identifies a manufacturing issue involving the weld on the caravan’s suspension arms, says that weld may not have sufficient strength, and describes the road conditions in which it could crack. It does not identify a particular left- or right-hand arm, a weld location, a supplier batch or a technical test threshold.
The notice also does not say that all 511 welds have cracked. Its safety case is that the weld may be insufficient and could crack in the stated conditions, leading to possible loss of control. That potential consequence is enough for the regulator and supplier to publish an inspection-and-repair campaign.
Nor does the notice publish an owner inspection method. A visual check at home is not presented as a substitute for the recall appointment. The remedy is an inspection and repair arranged through a dealer or Regent RV team.
The eight-week statement is a supplier rectification target recorded in the regulator’s comments, not a promise that every individual booking will occur within a particular number of days. The public record gives no dealer-by-dealer timetable.
Contact details in REC-006719
The notice gives the following Regent RV Recall Support Team contacts:
- phone: 1800 485 031;
- email: recall@snowyrivercaravans.com.au; and
- website: snowyrivercaravans.com.au.
When contacting the team, include the VIN, exact SRH variant, current location and a preferred dealer. Ask whether any use restrictions apply before the appointment and what work will be recorded after inspection. Those questions seek the vehicle-specific information the public notice does not provide.
What remains unknown in the public record
As at 14 September 2026, REC-006719 does not state:
- when the manufacturing issue was discovered;
- whether any suspension-arm weld has cracked in service;
- whether any accident, injury or property damage has occurred;
- the production dates or chassis sequence that created the affected group;
- how the inspection will be performed or what determines the repair required;
- whether the repair means reinforcing or replacing a component; or
- how long an individual inspection and repair appointment should take.
Absence of those details is not evidence that an incident did or did not happen. It means the published record does not answer the question. Camper News AU will not fill those gaps with assumptions.
Disclosure and sourcing
Camper News AU is independently edited by Gauthier T., who works with brands in the Australian camper trailer industry, including Breath Trailer. No Breath Trailer product is named in REC-006719, and Breath Trailer did not select or approve this coverage.
